Our Story
In 2021, three passionate animal advocates—Donna, Marcia, and Teri—saw a critical need in the Indianapolis community. Too many cats were ending up in overcrowded shelters, and families facing difficult circumstances had nowhere to turn when they needed to rehome their beloved pets.
With over 50 combined years of rescue experience, they founded Cuddle Me Cat Rescue (CMCR) to create a compassionate alternative. Our foster-based model means every cat receives individualized attention in a loving home environment while awaiting their forever family.
We work directly with the community to assist with found cats and owner surrenders, keeping them out of shelters and alleviating the burden on strapped resources. Every cat that comes through our doors gets the medical care, socialization, and love they need to thrive.

1 Intake
​​Cats enter our program through owner surrenders, community finds, or shelter partnerships.
2 Medical Care
All foster cats must meet our medical protocol before they are listed as adoptable. Our medical protocol is: Fixed, Age-appropriate vaccines, Microchipped, At least 2 rounds of dewormer, flea prevention.
3 Foster Home
Placed in a loving foster home for socialization, behavioral assessment, and TLC.
4 Adoption
Carefully matched with screened adopters for their forever home.
